Do I need to remove my clothing for a Migun thermal massage?

Yes, Migun is safe and has been thoroughly researched and perfected at universities in Korea, China and most recently at the University of California Irvine Medical School. The Migun thermal massage system is approved by the FDA and Health Canada as a Class II Medical Instrument under the 510K regulations and can be used without a prescription. This also means that the equipment can be used with or without medical supervision and is safe for home use.
Can you use Migun Thermal Massage beds more than once a day?
YES! As long as you give yourself at least four hours between treatments, Migun can be used multiple times in one day for maximum benefit.
Why do you need to drink a lot of water after using Migun?
Migun combines massage with up to 140F far infrared heat, so it dehydrating on the tissues. Also, the bed's intense heated massage will start a detoxification process in your body that requires water to flush out toxins that have been trapped in your tissues. Water is how you can help your body speed up its detoxification and healing process. It is suggested that you drink at least 8-10 8oz glasses of water on a daily basis.
What is an initial reaction?
An initial reaction is a healing reaction which occurs when your body is being treated. It is a process which hidden disease and sickness are revealed through detoxification. A temporary discomfort or pain may occur but soon disappear when your body adjusts to the treatment. The detoxification process may temporarily cause high blood pressure, headache, backache and neuralgia.An initial reaction appears within 3-5 days after the first use, however, it is different for everyone. Are there any contraindications?
YES. The following conditions are the contraindications for using Migun:
- Pregnancy or trying to get pregnant
- Metallic implants in the spine/scoliosis rods
- Breast/silicone implants
- Taking medications for blood clots
- Severe osteoporosis
- Fractures
Other conditions require a doctor's approval prior to using Migun:
- Pacemaker or ICD (implanted cardiac device)
- Hip replacement
- Any major surgeries in the last six months
Will there be any discomfort?
It is normal to experience mild soreness after a treatment, especially if you are new to therapeutic massage. This will dissipate in a short time, with repeated use. At anytime, you may add towels for cushion until your body becomes accustomed to the movement and pressure.
Why does my lower back or tailbone hurt after a session on the MIGUN bed?
If after using the MIGUN bed for the first time your tailbone area felt tender or bruised, you were probably experiencing a healing reaction. With any type of new physical exercise, there is a possibility of temporary discomfort in the beginning stages. Some people would say that the old adage 'there's no gain without pain' applies here. Often a sore tailbone is associated with calcification of the connective tissue. The MIGUN bed acts to break down calcified material. This topic is the subject of the next FAQ.
During the first few treatment sessions on the MIGUN thermal massage bed you may experience minor discomfort in the shoulder, spine, lower back or hip area. These minor pains are an indication that the bed is doing its job working in those areas of the body that typically need the most work. Does the MIGUN bed solve problems arising from calcification of the lower back?
The most common problem related to the lower back is calcification of the connective tissue along the spine. Calcification of the connective tissue can be reversed and MIGUN can assist in this process.Healthy connective tissue is soft, pliable, smooth yet strong like glad wrap. As we age, the tissue tends to harden like cement. This is a common cause of health problems related to the lower back.
